This year the Chicago Auto Show is trying something new and expanding the show outside, and closing down Indiana Ave. for the first-ever Chicago Auto Show Street Fest! The Street Fest will run the first four evenings of the show, Thursday, July 15 thru Sunday, July 18 from 6:30 – 10:00 PM and will feature the latest vehicles on display, food trucks, local brews, and musical entertainment.
The food trucks and tents will include menu items from Smoke Daddy, Connie’s Pizza, and Andy’s Frozen Custard among others. No matter which night you attend you are sure to find a variety of food options available including BBQ, street tacos, Asian fusion, burgers, and more. Goose Island will be on-site with their Chicago rail car bar and the Shandy Man will make special appearances. Desserts will include frozen custard, cupcakes, refreshing ices, and more.
As you take a stroll down Indiana Ave. and enjoy the new vehicles you’ll also enjoy some sounds of Chicago. Each night of the Street Fest will feature multiple entertainment options including Freddie Dixon Blues Band, MudCity Blu, Manny Torres, zfrank, Cheryl Rodey, DJ Sara Kay, and Harmonica Hinds.
